Renowned for its anti-viral, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial properties, we use propolis from our own hives. We make an infusion, and package it in a spray bottle, for use as a throat spray or topically.
Propolis is made from various tree saps and resins. Plants excrete these materials when in stress, from pathogens or pests. In nature, bees gather these resins, and combined with a little pollen and wax, make propolis for use in their colony. In a tree, they coat the inside of the cavity, to make a propolis envelope to aid against pathogens inside their hive.
